so my birthday is tomorrow!! turning 15
SUPER LONG DESCRIPTION OF BIRTHDAY ACTIVITY !!
my parents and my brother and me went to this interactive mission thing (terrible explanation bye, just google "5 wits espionage") idk anyway it was really fun and the guide, zephyr, was fucking adorable jesus christ and he kept talking to me and saying my name he was like "ok erin, hold this box" then later "erin, you have excellent box-holding skills." oh my god he was so cute!!!!!!!! and when the mission was over he went and sat with the little kids and they played like pattycake or whatever it was SO!!! CUTE!!!
ok now that ive explained how cute zephyr was i think i will actually discuss espionage because it was so cool
there was like 15 people ish, my brother and i were the only teenagers, the rest were adults and little kids. the girl at the register took our tickets and then pointed at me and was like "whats your name? okay, erin, i am going to give you this extremely important disc and you must not damage it in anyway because the fate of the world depends on you" and it was goofy yeah but everyone laughed and i felt special. then we went into a rug shop, where we met zephyr, who told us his name was ernesto and spoke with a hilarious accent and tried to sell us rugs. there were clues and shit and we had to find the "bugs" in the room and disable them, and then i gave zephyr the disc and he was so cute sorry and we watched it and
i figured it out right away honestly, i guess cause it was more for little kids? idk it was still fun though. the boss gave us our mission and he kept saying "there's a MOLE in the agency!" and he had a mole on his forehead so i was like yeah its you but i didnt say that cause i didnt wanna ruin it. so we went into the elevator and the effects made it look like we were moving, and the lights flickered and went out and zephyr screamed and then he punched the control panel and "fixed" the elevator and we got out and entered a tunnel-room with motherfucking LASERS EVERYWHERE
so that was like the classic laser thing you know? where you have to avoid them and cross the room. but it was fucking hilarious, a couple people crossed and then Zephyr was like "erin, your turn!" and i just OMFG HES CUTE oops and i started crossing and i was right next to him when i raised my head a little and triggered one of the lasers, and he goes "DOES ANYONE HAVE A PHONE SO WE CAN CALL AND LET THEM KNOW WE'RE COMING?" it was great !!! my brother was the only one to make it across without setting off any lasers, my mom set off like 10, it was so funny though ugh
after that we had figure out how to stop a fan, then duck underneath it and find a door. door didnt have a doorknob and it didnt open. me, my brother, and the younger kids crawled through a vent and i opened the door for the older people. we pretty much fucked up this room, but it didnt matter cause we had a ton of fun. we found this card in a coffee pot that opened up the ceiling to show the thing they were making (part of the mission) but we couldnt figure out how to open the safe so we just skipped it.
to open the next door, we had to use a UV flashlight and find the fingerprints, then guess the combination and open the door. the special effects were honestly so fucking cool. the next room we entered had two screens where we had to guess the right order of three chess pieces so we could contact our tech guy (this is an awful explanation). i figured out one of the screens and someone else got the other, but then a bomb showed up and a voice said the room was about to self destruct, and a countdown started with 3 minutes
so we managed to disarm the bomb with like 30 seconds left, and then it reset. our tech guy came in and said we had to get away from it, and he'd opened up a room nearby that might keep us safe. so we ran inside and shut the doors and pressed up against the walls and zephyr closed the door. the bomb went off and the lights flickered, and zephyr screamed again and told us he was just checking to make sure the floor was safe, thats why he was on the floor. (adorable little shit) then we had to get the power back on, and then oh my god the funniest thing ever
zephyr's like, "well we need to open up the keypad box. does anyone know how to connect wires?"
and this little girl goes "YES!"
and zephyr just completely broke character and started laughing and he was like
"what. you're like 8, did you go to electrician school or something?"
and the girl goes "yeah." completely casually
anyway we eventually got back into the room where the bomb had gone off, and i have no idea how they worked the effects so fast, but the room was totally different. the bomb was gone, and the floor had explosion marks and a hole and it smelled like smoke. then we got congratulated for nailing the boss, and it was over.
summary: fun activity + cute guy + fro-yo afterwards
